The symbol above originally was a symbol for “Jesus Christ”, taken from the first three letters in Greek for “Jesus.”  In Latin the letters have come to stand for “Jesus, Savior of Mankind.”  But, in English, over the years, they have come to stand for “In His Service,” recognizing that all believers in Jesus Christ should be “in His service.”  Are you? In His Service?  By definition, a “disciple” of Jesus Christ is someone who is in His service.  Do you call Him your Lord but do nothing to show it?  If you mean it, then look for ways to serve Him, by serving others in His name.  Our church provides many ways to serve Him.  Don’t do nothing for the One who did everything for you!
